Principal's Message
This week I want to give a very
special thank you to the Larrabee PTA for the amazing work they have been
doing. Our little school has more programs to support students than ever
before.
Recently, a parent shared that Larrabee offers as much or more than the
local private schools and that is why her family transferred here. In addition
to the programs that directly support the school curriculum (foreign languages,
art, engineering, music, drama), the PTA has provided events that help us
bond and strengthen as a community.
Last week’s carnival was an excellent example. Not only did the carnival
include current Larrabee students, but former students who are now at Fairhaven
Middle School were the “Carnies” and earning credits for their
economy class. That was a first since I have been at Larrabee, and I had
a blast.
I am thankful being part of such a caring and dedicated group and appreciate
all you do for all children.
Have a wonderful weekend!

HOW CAN I GET WEATHER/EMERGENCY INFORMATION?
Depending on weather conditions,
schools will close for the day, open two hours late with regular bus routes
or snow bus routes, or open on time with snow bus routes. Changes to the
school schedule are usually announced by 6 a.m. Weather emergencies can
sometimes disrupt power and telephone service. The district will use a variety
of methods to keep you informed, but please remember to keep a battery-equipped
radio as your emergency communications back-up:
Tune to Bellingham and Seattle radio and TV stations for live updates:
KGMI Radio (790 AM) KOMO-TV (Channel 4)
KAFE Radio (104.3 FM) KING-TV (Channel 5)
KOMO Radio (1000 AM) KIRO-TV (Channel 7)
KIRO Radio (710 AM)

Registration at www.bham.wednet.edu.
Call 676-6400 for a recorded message in English. Please do not call the
Transportation Office because it is important to keep lines open for emergencies.
For Español, ???????, tính t? and Punjabi translations: 647-6815.
Snow Routes for Buses: It is the responsibility of families to know if they
live on a snow bus route and in which snow route group. Click here for snow
